Location: This position requires on-site reporting to a client in Archbold, OH.
Shift: Second Shift | 3:00pm -11:00pm

Job Summary:
The Field Service Technician is responsible for delivering exceptional client support through technical expertise in automation, control systems, and electrical troubleshooting. This role involves troubleshooting mechanical and electrical machines and systems using PLC / HMI programming tools, a multimeter and common hand tools. The technician will resolve issues, and ensure client satisfaction through reliable service and clear communication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Address client inquiries and concerns, ensuring clear communication and strong relationships.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical machines and systems.
- Use PLC programming tools to diagnose system problems.
- Diagnose, and fix HMI interface issues.
- Identify and rectify electrical issues within machines and systems.
- Respond to service calls, diagnose, and resolve technical issues on-site.
- Maintain positive client relationships, gather feedback, and provide ongoing support.
- Verify sensor functionality
- Offer continuous support through on-site visits and remote assistance.
- Other duties as assigned.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Timely response and resolution of service calls.
- Accurately and efficiency perform PLC/HMI troubleshooting.
- Client satisfaction ratings and positive feedback.
- Compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Minimal repeat issues for serviced equipment.

Job Qualifications: Education & Experience:
- Associate degree in electrical or mechanical engineering technology and or 2 years of practical experience with mechanical and electrical machines and systems and industrial controls.
Required Qualifications:
Skills:
- Proficiency with multimeters and other test equipment.
- Experience working safely in electrical control panels.
- Strong communication skills.
- Critical thinking abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Mechanical aptitude.
Preferred Qualifications (can be a plus, but not always required):
- Prior field service experience with machines and automation
- Experience troubleshooting PLC / HMI issues.
- Familiarity with sensor wiring and operation.
