Job Summary:
The Controls Engineer supports the design, development, and implementation of industrial control systems and automation solutions. This role works closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality automation systems while continuing to build technical expertise in PLC programming, robotics, vision systems, and system integration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain PLC and HMI programs for automation systems
- Assist with robot and vision system integration and programming
- Support system startup, commissioning, and client training
- Collaborate with senior engineers and project teams to implement automation solutions
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving control system issues
- Communicate effectively with team members and support project coordination
- Manage assigned tasks to meet project schedules and deadlines
- Maintain accurate technical documentation
- Ensure systems are developed in compliance with company standards and applicable codes

Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in industrial automation or controls engineering

Job Summary:
As an Electrical Designer, you are responsible for executing successful electrical design projects while meeting client requirements and adhering to industry standards. This role focuses on developing high-quality electrical designs, supporting project execution, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure successful project delivery.
The Electrical Designer applies strong technical knowledge of electrical design principles, codes, and standards while supporting project timelines, documentation, and coordination with project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Support
- Project Execution: Contribute to electrical design projects from conceptual design through detailed design, documentation, and handoff to the construction team.
- Task Coordination: Work with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure design tasks are completed on schedule.
- Scope Alignment: Assist in maintaining project scope and ensuring design deliverables meet required quality standards.
- Issue Resolution: Identify design challenges and collaborate with the team to resolve technical issues during project execution.
Design and Technical:
- Design Development: Apply knowledge of electrical design principles, codes, and standards to create and revise electrical designs (NEC, UL508A, safety).
- Documentation: Develop electrical schematics, panel layouts, wiring diagrams, and supporting documentation using electrical CAD tools.
- BOM Creation: Generate and maintain accurate Bills of Material (BOMs) for electrical systems and control panels.
- Technical Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, technicians, and project managers to ensure designs are technically sound and manufacturable.
- Continuous Learning: Stay current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in electrical design.
Client and Team Collaboration:
- Requirements Understanding: Assist in translating client requirements into electrical design specifications.
- Communication: Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and clients as needed to clarify design requirements.
- Project Updates: Support project teams by providing design updates and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Quoting Process: Support the quoting process for system integration projects by gathering technical information, coordinating inputs from engineering and sales, and helping prepare accurate proposals.
Compliance and Standards:
- Code Compliance: Ensure electrical designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
- Quality Control: Follow established quality control procedures to ensure design accuracy and completeness.
- Safety: Prioritize safety in all aspects of electrical system design.

- 3–5+ years of electrical design experience at a system integration company or similar environment.
- In-depth knowledge of NEC, UL508A, and relevant electrical codes/standards.
- Proficiency with electrical CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical).
- Ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with internal teams, vendors, and clients.
- Experience with BOM creation and design documentation.
- Knowledge of industrial automation systems.
Preferred Qualifications (can be a plus, but not always required):
- TÜV Safety experience.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, safety standards, and lean principles.

The Senior Controls Engineer leads the design and implementation of complex control systems and automation solutions. In addition to technical delivery, this role provides guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and contributes to project leadership through collaboration, planning, and technical oversight.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop advanced PLC and HMI programs for automation systems
- Develop advanced robot and vision system programs for automation systems
- Support system startup, commissioning, and client training
- Act as a lead technical contact for assigned projects and client needs
